Philosophy

At Smith Family Treehouse, we believe that even the most ordinary moments are extraordinary. Our program is designed for children to create these extraordinary moments of learning through open-ended activities and hands-on exploration of their environments and its materials.

Based on the theoretical principal that children learn through play, SFT provides safety, security, and love in a developmentally appropriate environment that fosters competence in all aspects of a young child’s life. Opportunities for whole child development are enhanced through investigations in art, literature,music, motor skills, dramatic play, science, math and history. Through experience and play, children learn these skills at their own individual pace.

We believe family values are vitally important in your child’s growth and development.We recognize that building trust between our teachers and families is essential to providing successful, high quality early care and education. Our staff works hard to fulfill these beliefs and to meet both the expectations of our children and their parents.We respect parents as the primary and most important provider of care and nurturance and therefore believe that parents and teachers are partners in childcare and education.
