Pre-School
- Large, bright and cozy environment
- Maximum group size: 16 children to 2 teachers
- Consistent schedule with weekly curriculum plans
incorporating: creative play, letter recognition, writing skills,
sharing skills and singing
- Balanced activities (individual and group)
- Daily outside play, weather permitting
- Social skills—turn-taking, listening skills, speaking in-turn—
are a large part off a preschoolers day
- Self-help skills are an important part of day—putting on
coats, hygiene, healthy snack choices and cleaning up
- Children practice letter formation, reflect on books and
personal experiences and practice other age-appropriate
language and literacy skills in a journal
- Morning and afternoon meetings take place daily during
which children and teachers
- Reflect on the day
- Read stories
- Sing Songs
- Assign daily tasks
- Discuss weather
- Play alphabet games
