Toddler

• Maximum Group Size: 9 children to 2 teachers
• Large, bright classroom space
• Cozy space for quiet time or alone time
• Sounds of laughter and early words heard from children
• Respectful, calm teacher voices
• Outside playground time and walks incorporated into each day weather permitting
• Individualized attention is provided to each toddler throughout the day
• The curriculum incorporates learning skills such as: opposites, colors, and early counting
• A toddler’s day also involves practicing self-help skills such as:
• hand washing
• sitting in chairs for meals
• practicing putting on and taking off simple clothing
• making healthy snack choices
• picking up toys
• Balance of activities (individual, small and large group)
• Plenty of hugs and lap time with teachers for each child
• Clean and inviting materials rotated depending on children’s interests
• Curriculum plans are sent home weekly sharing activities, songs, and finger plays
